Sony Ericsson W595
The Sony Eriksson W595 released in July 2008. The phone is reasonably priced and is primarily a walkman phone, although it comes with a decent list of features and games….. It’s main aim is music.
It has a decent T9 keypad, although this makes web browsing a little difficult, it’s workable. As it is not a smart phone, it doesn’t come with any office tools, it also lacks an email client. Though ita a 3G Mobile . The inbuilt web browser can’t handle much; try viewing a picture rich page such as a picasa album……. And the browser sort of gives up and crashes.
Has a 240*320 resolution, enough on the 2.2 inch screen,

Sony Ericsson W595
It uses a HSDPA connection. The 3g is capable of 3.6 megabytes per second.
It comes with a 2 GB memory card in the pack. Capable of SMS, MMS, E-mail, EMS.
It has 9 keys in the front:3 are dedicated music keys(play/pause, next, previous).
Primary Camera is a 3.2mp 2048×1536 pixels, it doesn’t have a flash though. Its brightness sensor is okay so low light pictures are possible. If not pretty. Do not use In low light, If you can help it. It can’t play flash or java, which really sucks, especially cause it has 3G, the fact that it can’t play either is a damper to the browsing experience.
Has a battery life of up to 9 h (2G) / Up to 4 h 30 min (3G) and 420 hrs of standby time.
The Speaker quality (and especially volume) is amazing, as a walkman phone it has excellent speaker quality and sound, playing music to/for friends is really easy (not to mention loud)
It has Bluetooth, GPRS, and EDGE. Lacks any other means of data transfer…….. part from USB obviously.
Sony Ericsson W595 Pros:-
- Has amazing Walkman features, like shake-it-up music switch.
- It has multi tasking support, which is great for stuff like downloading and listening to music and messaging at the same time.
- Supports smart dialing.
- Comes with 3G.
Sony Ericsson W595 Cons:-
- Has a small screen.
- No inbuilt office viewer
- No lens protection, or flash for cam.
- Not great video recording facilities.
Apart from these cons the Sony Ericsson W595 is a decent phone, however vastly overpriced for it’s class, not suggested unless you really hate a touchscreen, and even then its better to go for another model such as the Sony Ericsson W760.
Sony Ericsson W595 Price Rs. 9500
